I work in the traditional methods used by Louis Comfort Tiffany. Each piece of glass is hand-worked and ground for a precise fit with attention given to the direction of the grain of the glass. Once this is accomplished, the sections are foiled in copper and attached by using either standard lead-based or lead-free solder. A lamp or window panel can include any number of pieces to fit the pattern desired, often numbering in the hundreds.
Once completed, the item can be highlighted in several ways. You can choose either a natural finish which will develop a patina over time, or a copper or black finish.
